Byggesættet fra Billing Boats bliver til en model af et
Dansk orlogsskib der løb af stabelen i 1765.
Modellen bliver ca. 105 cm lang og 92 cm høj.
Byggesættet er helt i træ, fittings i messing og plast. Træ delene er
"Lasercut". 2 ruller stof skal klippes og syes til de 18 sejl.
Tegninger og byggevejledning er måske ikke så
moderne. Der er f.eks overhovedet ikke tale om nogen "trin for trin"
vejledning.
Har man bygget modeller før, er
det ikke svært at bygge denne model (takket være lasercutting)
det tager bare noget tid.
Billing Boats har ikke altid
leveret byggesæt hvor delene var udskåret med laser. Før i tiden skulle alle
dele udskæres af træplader. Vær opmærksom på dette hvis du har planer om at
købe ældre byggesæt over internettet.

This kit from Billing Boats gives you a modell
of a Danish navy ship, launched in 1765. When finished the model will be approx.
105 cm long and 92 cm tall.
The kit is entire wood with fittings in brass and plastic. Wood parts are
"Lasercut". 2 rolls of cloth are to be cut and stitched for the 18
sails.
Drawings and manual are not up to
modern standards, no "step by step", and that is what makes this model
a bit more time consuming to finish than other models.
It is not difficult to build
this model (thanks to the lasercutting), if you have a bit experience and
patience, it simply just takes some time to finish all the details.
Lasetcutting is rather new to
Billing Boats kits. Before that, you would have to cut all parts from
sheets of wood - so look carefully when buying old kits from internet sources.
